Gopaldhara is located in Mirik Valley, and is one of the highest tea estates in Darjeeling. The total area of the garden is 320 Hectares. Out of the 320 Hectares, 172 Hectares has been planted with tea bushes.

Most of the new planting has been done at an elevation between 5500 FT and 7000 FT. This is definitely one of the highest tea estates in the world having a sizeable area of 60 Hectares at an average elevation of 6000 FT. The highest peak stretches right  up to 7000 FT.   The entire new plantation has been planted with mixed clonal tea to produce rare and exquisite teas.

The old plantation is also now being replanted with new varieties of high quality clonal tea bushes. An old area of 8 Hectares has already been completed near the factory block.

In order to keep up with the increased production we have recently concluded the construction of a new factory. The design of the new factory incorporates all hygiene and food safety requirements as per the HACCP standard specified by RVA Netherlands.
